Turkish border guards detain 8 people in Syria’s Sere Kaniye

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Turkish border guards detained on Tuesday eight individuals in the countryside of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) in northeastern Syria.

An opposition source told North Press that the eight detainees—among them women and children—were apprehended in the western countryside of Sere Kaniye.

According to the source, the group had been attempting to cross into Turkey, reportedly with the intention of seeking asylum in a European country.

The source also noted that the current whereabouts and fate of the detainees remain unclear.
