Israeli airstrikes target Syria’s Homs
HOMS, Syria (North Press) – Israel launched on Wednesday evening a series of airstrikes targeting the countryside of Homs, central Syria, destroying multiple bridges and resulted in several injuries.
According to government media, the strikes targeted al-Qusayr in southern Homs, causing injuries among Syrian army personnel.
Reports from various sources indicated that the airstrikes targeted eight locations in the al-Qusayr countryside, injuring 15 members of the Syrian government forces’ Fourth Armored Division, along with casualties from other nationalities.
The strikes destroyed bridges in Rablah, Tel al-Nabi Mando, and al-Daf on the Orontes River, as well as the al-Jawbaniah bridge near the Syrian-Lebanese border, the sources added.
A military source told state-run news agency SANA that at approximately 08:05 PM, Israel launched an aerial attack from Lebanese airspace, targeting bridges on the Orontes River and roads near the Syrian-Lebanese border in al-Qusayr, causing significant damage and rendering them unusable.
