IED blast kills 3 SDF fighters in Syria’s Hasakah

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) said on Tuesday that three fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were killed in an explosion in the city of Hasakah in northeastern Syria.

The Asayish explained that the explosion was caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) planted in the vehicle carrying the three SDF fighters in the Salehiya neighborhood on Monday night.

The Asayish also highlighted that the explosion occurred amid an ongoing security operation targeting Islamic State (ISIS) sleeper cells in Hawl Camp and surrounding areas.

The Asayish added that it will continue investigation until those responsible are apprehended and brought to justice.
