Turkish forces hit Syria’s Manbij with about 700 shells in October – SDF

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Manbij Military Council said on Wednesday Turkish forces launched about 700 shells on the countryside of Manbij in northern Syria in October, killing three civilians, and injuring 11 others, including women and children.

The Manbij Military Council, a component of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), pointed out Turkish forces launched 689 heavy artillery and mortar shells, along with multiple drone strikes.

The Council added that two military personnel were also killed in these attacks.

In light of these attacks, the Council conducted operations against Turkish military positions, targeting seven Turkish bases, killing 17 Turkish soldiers and injuring 21 others.

In addition, the Council also killed 10 militants of Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), and injured 15 others.

The impact of these attacks has been devastating, with homes and properties suffering severe damage due to the intensity of the bombardment, the statement added.
