Turkish forces shell northern Aleppo countryside
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces shelled on Saturday villages in the northern Aleppo countryside in northwestern Syria, which hosts thousands of displaced people from Afrin Region.
This bombardment coincides with ongoing Turkish airstrikes on health, service, and oil facilities in north and northeastern Syria since early on Oct. 24.
The Afrin News 24 reported that Turkish forces and their affiliated Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), heavily shelled the villages of Bina and Aqiba in the countryside of Afrin.
The platform also noted that two Turkish suicide drones were shot down over Aqiba.
Additional shelling targeted areas around Kafr Qaris and Tanb village, though no information on casualties or material losses was provided.
The report further indicated that Turkish artillery struck Tel Qarah village in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
