Turkish airstrikes hit 2 sites in NE Syria
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces launched on Saturday morning new airstrikes on two sites in the city of Qamishli and Derik in Northeast Syria.
Turkish forces struck a location three times in the north of Qamishli, near a construction company.
Another airstrike targeted a dairy and cheese factory in Derik in far northeastern Syria.
So far, no immediate reports are available regarding casualties or the extent of material damage.
Since early Oct. 24, Turkey has conducted extensive airstrikes targeting oil facilities, essential infrastructure, and vast areas across north and northeastern Syria.
On Friday, the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) stated that Turkish airstrikes killed 17 people, including three military personnel, while 48 others have been injured, nine of whom are military personnel.
