SDF conducts 2 operations in Syria’s Hasakah, killing Turkish soldiers

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) stated on Friday that several Turkish soldiers and militants of Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA) were killed and injured in the countryside of Hasakah in northeastern Syria.

The SDF said in a statement that their forces conducted two military operations against bases of Turkish forces and SNA factions in the villages of Aniq al-Hawa and Bab al-Faraj in the countryside of Zirgan (Abu Rasin), northwest of Hasakah, which is under Turkish occupation.

The operations came in response to Turkish airstrikes on north and northeastern Syria, the SDF added.

“These operations resulted in eliminating and injuring several Turkish occupation soldiers and its mercenaries,” the statement noted.

Since early Thursday, Turkey has conducted extensive airstrikes targeting oil facilities, essential infrastructure, and vast areas across north and northeastern Syria.

According to the latest toll released by the SDF, the Turkish airstrikes, which caused considerable infrastructure damage, resulted in the killing of 12 people and the injury of 25 other.
