Turkey’s Erdogan says perpetrators of Ankara attack came from Syria

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Friday that the recent attack in Ankara, which targeted the Turkish aerospace and defense company, was carried out by perpetrators who entered Turkey from Syria.

Erdogan, speaking to reporters while returning from the BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, pledged to eliminate terrorism directly in Syria.

On Oct. 23, armed individuals attacked TUSAS company headquarters in Ankara, resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries.

In response, Turkish forces launched extensive airstrikes across large areas in north and northeastern Syria, targeting key service and oil infrastructure.

The airstrikes killed 12 civilians, including two children, and injured 25 others according to the latest toll released by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Erdogan emphasized that Turkey will persist in its fight against militant groups until they are completely defeated.
