Turkish attack on Kobani silos claims life, injures 8

KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – A Turkish attack on Thursday evening claimed the life of one worker and injured eight others at the silos in the city of Kobani in northern Syria.

The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) reported that Turkey targeted multiple civilian sites using drones and heavy artillery.

The attacks affected various locations, including the Euphrates Wedding Hall, the Jarablus checkpoint operated by local forces, the Kobani mill, the Kobani stadium, and al-Amal Hospital.

The assault on the Kobani silos resulted in the killing of a worker and the injury of eight others, according to the Asayish. 

The Asayish warned that these ongoing attacks jeopardize stability and security in the region, endangering the lives of local residents.

Since Turkish forces began this escalation on Thursday early morning, 12 civilians, including two children, were killed, and 25 others were injured according to toll released by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Early on Friday, the Turkish forces targeted critical areas in northern and northeastern Syria including the town of Girke Lege (Maabadeh), the town Tirbe Spiyeh (al-Qahtaniya), the city of Qamishli, and the city of Kobani, launching missiles and drone strikes, and causing extensive material damage.
