Government attacks injure 3 HTS militants in NW Syria

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Three militants of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, once known as al-Nusra Front) were injured on Wednesday in rocket attacks by the Syrian government forces in the countryside of Idlib in northwestern Syria.

A military leader from the al-Fatah al-Mubin Operations Room, which includes extremist factions and is led by the HTS, said that the government forces based in the city of Kafr Nabl launched rockets on two posts of HTS’ Red Bands faction in southern Idlib.

The attacks resulted in the injury of three HTS militants.

This comes amid escalating military tensions between the two sides since early October.

The leader added that the government forces also deployed suicide drones from Base 46, targeting areas in Kafr Nouran and Darat Izza, west of Aleppo.

He further noted that strikes extended to the towns of Taftanaz and Sarmin in eastern Idlib, launched from positions held by the government forces near the city of Saraqib.
