U.S. airstrikes kill 35 ISIS operatives, including leaders, in Syria

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Friday the successful killing of 35 operatives of the Islamic State (ISIS), including key leaders, during airstrikes in eastern Syria on October 11.

In its weekly report, the CENTCOM detailed that multiple airstrikes were conducted against ISIS camps, resulting in significant casualties for the terrorist organization.

The operation is part of ongoing efforts to degrade ISIS’ ability to launch attacks against the U.S., its allies, and civilians.

“The strikes will severely disrupt ISIS’s ability to plan, organize, and conduct operations,” the CENTCOM stated.

The report further emphasized the importance of such operations in ensuring regional stability and contributing to the enduring defeat of terrorist groups in the region. U.S. and partner forces remain committed to these efforts as part of broader counterterrorism strategies.
