Israel launches airstrike on Syria’s Latakia, injures 2 people

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – In the early hours of Thursday, an Israeli airstrike targeted a site near Latakia, a coastal city in Syria.

According to Syria’s state-run news agency SANA, a military source reported that the strike occurred at 2:50 a.m., with the attack launched from the Mediterranean.

The airstrike resulted in the injury of two individuals and inflicted significant material damage on private property near the city’s entrance.

The targeted site and further details of the attack were not disclosed.

Israel has not yet commented on the incident, continuing a pattern of frequent but unacknowledged strikes on Syrian territory, often aimed at Iranian-linked positions.
