Russian airstrikes kill 5 civilians, injure 25 others in Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Russian warplanes launched on Wednesday a series of airstrikes across multiple locations in Idlib and Latakia governorates, Northwest Syria, killing five civilians and injuring 25 others, with the toll expected to rise.
Military sources from Idlib informed North Press that a squadron of eight Russian warplanes simultaneously targeted the outskirts of the city of Idlib, the town of Maarrat Misrin, and the villages of al-Habat and Bsanqul in Idlib Governorate.
The sources said that one of the strikes hit a stone processing facility near the city of Idlib, where five people were killed and 25 were wounded.
The sources added that these airstrikes were the most intense since the escalation of attacks on Northwest Syria began a few days ago.
