SNA leader shoots civilians sparking public outrage in Aleppo

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) –The city of Jarablus in the east of Aleppo in northwestern Syria experienced on Tuesday military mobilization and public outrage after a leader of a faction in the Turkish-backed armed opposition, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), shot at civilians.

Activists shared a video on social media showing an SNA leader, Nour Hayyan, also known as Abu Talas, firing directly at the feet of civilians trying to cross the border into Turkey.

A local source said that this act enraged residents and prompted a heightened military presence in the city.

The source also pointed out that Abu Talas is a prominent figure with close ties to the Syrian opposition’s Interim Government and Turkish intelligence.

In an effort to quell public outrage, the Ministry of Defense of the Turkish-backed Interim Government issued a statement announcing the suspension of Abu Talas due to allegations of corruption and embezzlement.

Areas under the control of Turkish-backed SNA factions constantly witness security chaos and violations against civilians without facing any consequences or regulations to stop them.
