Coalition aircraft strike posts of Iran-backed militias in Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Aircraft of the U.S.-led Global Coalition targeted on Monday posts of the Syrian government forces and Iranian-backed militias in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.

A military source said that the strikes hit sites belonging to the government forces and Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the village of Jaffra, the town of Harabesh, and Hawija Sakr neighborhood in the city of Deir ez-Zor.

The source added that most of the targeted sites were vacant, resulting in only material damage.

He also noted that Iranian-backed militias had already evacuated many of their posts in these areas, relocating their leaders, weapons, and vehicles to the Deir ez-Zor military airbase and the Ain Ali shrine near the town of al-Mayadin in the eastern countryside.
