Turkish forces target Syria’s Manbij, killing 2 children
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces and their affiliated armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), launched on Thursday an assault on villages in Manbij, northern Syria, killing and injuring five children.
The Manbij Military Council, a component of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), said that the Turkish forces and the SNA factions attacked the village of Tahnah, west of the city of Manbij, using heavy weaponry.
This attack resulted in the killing of two children; Abdo Jumaa al-Jassem, 5, and Jassem Jumaa al-Jassem, 9.
The attack also led to the injury of three other children; Jassem Mahmoud al-Jassem, 6, Ahmad Jassem al-Jassem, 8, and Muslim Jassem al-Jassem, 10. All of them are from the same family.
The injured are currently receiving treatment in local hospitals, where their conditions have been deemed critical.
