Turkish forces, SNA target civilians in Syria’s Manbij

HOMS, Syria (North Press) – A Turkish attack on a village in the countryside of Manbij, northern Syria, injured two civilians on Saturday.

The Manbij Military Council (MMC), a unit of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), reported that Turkish forces, along with Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), targeted the civilians while they were working on farmland north of the city of Manbij.

The attack occurred in the village of al-Jarad, where the civilians were struck by a thermal missile. Both individuals were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The Military Council identified the injured as Hussein al-Qassoum, 22, and Jassem al-Qassoum, 40. Both were planting trees in their field when the missile struck, causing shrapnel injuries to their heads and legs.
