ISIS kills 4 Iraqi soldiers, injures 3 others in Kirkuk

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – The Islamic State (ISIS) killed on Wednesday four Iraqi soldiers and injured three others in an attack in Kirkuk Governorate, northern Iraq.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Interior and the Security Media Cell, as reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), ISIS ambushed an intelligence unit from the 42nd Brigade in Kirkuk Governorate, resulting in the killing of four soldiers and the injury of three others.

The statement added that the “Iraqi force was reinforced and the terrorist detachment was surrounded, and it was supported by air in the presence of the division commander,” the statement read.

The Iraq forces also stressed the formation of an investigative council to determine the circumstances of the incident.
