Iran launches barrage of ballistic missiles at Israel

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Iran launched on Tuesday a barrage of ballistic missiles toward Israel in retaliation for Israel’s ongoing military campaign against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

The missile strike followed shortly after Israeli ground forces entered southern Lebanon to engage Hezbollah militants.

In response to the Iranian attack, Israeli authorities have raised the country’s alert level, with air raid sirens sounding across multiple regions.

Israeli media reported that more than 100 missiles were fired from Iran, targeting central and southern Israel.

An Israeli military spokesperson confirmed the attack, stating that missiles had been launched from Iranian territory into Israel.

Earlier in the day, Israeli ground forces crossed into southern Lebanon, announcing a “limited ground operation” aimed at Hezbollah militants.
