Israel says Hezbollah’s Nasrallah killed in Beirut strikes

QAMISHLI, Syria (north Press) – Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Saturday the killing of Hassan Nasrallah, leader of the Lebanese Hezbollah, in Beirut airstrikes.

On its X Platform, the IDF said, “Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world.”

Avichay Adraee, Israeli forces Arabic-speaking spokesperson, said that the IDF has eliminated Hassan Nasrallah, leader of the Lebanese Hezbollah.

The Lebanese Hezbollah has yet to issue any statement on the status of Nasrallah.

In recent days, Israeli airstrikes have targeted several locations in southern Lebanon, escalating tensions in the region. The strikes came amid heightened hostilities along the Israel-Lebanon border, where sporadic clashes between Israeli forces and Hezbollah fighters have intensified.

Israel claims the attacks are a response to cross-border rocket fire and provocations by Hezbollah, a powerful militant group backed by Iran.

The recent flare-up is part of a broader regional struggle involving Hezbollah’s role in the Syrian conflict and its increasing influence in Lebanon, adding to fears of a wider conflict.
