HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) –The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) announced on Friday that three of their members were killed by an attack of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Hasakah Governorate in Northeast Syria.
The incident took place when ISIS cells targeted a vehicle transporting the Asayish members in the southern countryside of Hasakah, the Asayishsaid in a statement.
The Asayish added that three of their members were killed after their vehicle was targeted while they were on their way to work between the areas of Hawl Camp and the town of Shaddadi in the south of Hasakah.
The statement clarified that the three members were Omar Abed, Imran al-Hassouni, and Marwan Oso, who were targeted by ISIS cells on Thursday.
Several areas in the southern countryside of Hasakah, as well as Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa, continue to witness the presence of ISIS cells, which repeatedly attempt to destabilize the region by targeting security forces, community figures, and local residents.
