Gunmen attack SDF posts in Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Unknown gunmen launched on Saturday night attacks against posts and patrols of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

A source in Deir ez-Zor told North Press that the attackers targeted an SDF military patrol in the town of Shinan using an explosive device, followed by gunfire from machine guns.

Additionally, a second assault targeted an SDF military post in the village of Suwaydan in eastern Deir ez-Zor. There were no immediate reports of casualties or injuries from this incident.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for these attacks.

Meanwhile, in the town of Shuhail, sporadic clashes erupted between SDF fighters stationed on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River and the National Defense Forces (NDF), affiliated with the Syrian government forces, located to the west.

Details regarding any potential casualties from these clashes remain unclear.
