Israeli airstrikes hit Syria’s Hama killing 14, injuring 43  

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Israeli airstrikes targeted on Sunday night multiple positions in Hama Governorate, central Syria, killing 14 people and injuring 43 others, according to state media.

The strikes hit areas near the city of Masyaf in the western countryside of Hama.

Syria’s state-run news agency, SANA, reported that government air defenses “confronted an aggression targeting several positions” in the vicinity of Masyaf.

The airstrikes caused significant damage, including destruction to sections of the Masyaf-Wadi al-Uyun highway.

Fires also broke out in the nearby Heer Abbas forest area as a result of the strikes.

Dr. Faysal Haydar, head of Masyaf National Hospital, confirmed that 14 killed and 43 injuries were treated at the facility following the airstrikes.

The Israeli military has not yet commented on the incident.
