DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Iraqi forces announced on Wednesday the capture of a militant of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Karbala Governorate, southern Iraq.
The intelligence agency stated in a release reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that the Iraqi National Intelligence Service captured “one of the elements of the ISIS terrorist gangs in a tight security operation in the Al-Hur area, 10 km north of Karbala Governorate.”
The captured militant is a member in networks for military sciences on one of “the social media platforms, where he publishes lectures and lessons specializing in making explosive devices and explosive belts and carrying out terrorist attacks,” the security forces added in the statement.
On Tuesday, the Iraqi forces captured three ISIS militants during a security operation in the Maysan Governorate, east of Iraq.
