Syria condemns killing of nationals in Israeli attack on Lebanon

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Syria strongly condemned on Saturday an attack by Israel that killed Syrian nationals in southern Lebanon.

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement that Israel bombed the building where a Syrian family resided in Wadi al-Kfour in Nabatieh province.

An Arabic-language spokesperson for the Israeli military, Avichay Adraee, stated that a recent military strike in southern Lebanon targeted a weapons storage facility belonging to Hezbollah.

The attack killed at least 10 people, including a woman and her two children, and injured five others, two of whom in critical condition, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry.

The Syrian Ministry said the attack was a serious breach of international charters and laws, posing a danger to peace and security in the region.

Since the start of the Israel-Hamas war on Oct. 7, over 500 people have been killed in clashes between Israel and Lebanon, primarily militants associated with Hezbollah and other armed groups, according to Euro News.
