SDF kills ISIS militant in Deir ez-Zor

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Thursday the killing of a militant of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.

The SDF Media Center said in statement that their Anti-Terrorism Units (YAT) killed an ISIS militant during a security operation in the in the town of Markadah in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

The SDF added that the operation was done based on gathering precise intelligence, so “YAT forces raided where he was hiding.”

“The eliminated terrorist was involved in carrying out assassinations targeting military and security forces and innocent civilians in the region,” SDF’s statement read.
