Turkey investigates “insulting” Turkish flag in Syria   

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Turkish Minister of Justice Tilmaz Tunc announced on Tuesday launching investigation following what he described the insult of the Turkish flag by Syrians in areas in northern and northwestern Syria.

The Turkish minister said via his account on X Platform that they will start an investigation regarding the incident of the assault on Turkish flag, which appeared in videos circulated on social media.

Tunc added that the Public Prosecutor in Ankara launched an investigation due to the insult to the symbols of state sovereignty.

On Monday, people of the towns and cities under the Turkish occupation and the control of the SNA, of Aleppo Governorate in northwestern Syria, took to the streets to condemn discrimination acts and racist attacks against Syrian refugees in Turkey.

The protesters smashed the trucks and vehicles that held Turkish car number plates and burned the Turkish flags.

The Turkish forces opened fire on protesters in the city of al-Atarib in the western countryside of Aleppo, in northwestern Syria, as they used tear gas causing cases of suffocations.
