Crossings between AANES-Syrian government closed

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Transportation between the areas held by the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) and the Syrian government has been stopped since Saturday, passengers said on Sunday.

The passengers told North Press that all the crossings between the AANES and the Syrian government have been temporarily closed.

The transportation is only limited to the sick and the students, an official at Harsho tour company told North Press.

There are two crossings that link between the AANES and the government that are Tabqa and al-Tayha in Raqqa Governorate.

No official comments have been issued by both the AANES and the Syrian government regarding the reason for the closure of the crossings.

The crossings between the AANES-held areas in Northeast Syria and the government-held areas are usually closed during vacations for security reasons.
