Unknown gunmen kill 2 government members, civilian in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Unidentified gunmen killed on Wednesday two intelligence members of the Syrian government and a civilian, in two separate attacks, in Daraa Governorate, southern Syria.

A local source told North Press that unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle in the village of Ain Thakar, northwest of the city of Daraa, shot to death Ali Lotfi Muhammad and Muhammad Dorgham Khalaf, who were members of the Military Security Branch of the government forces.

The source said Ali Lotfi Muhammad hailed from the town of Rabla, in the southern countryside of Homs, central Syria, while Khalaf was from the town of Khan al-Sheikh in Rif Dimashq Governorate. 

Similarly, a local source also told North Press that unidentified gunmen shot to death Muhammad Ali al-Shamiya in the town of Muzayrib, northwest of Daraa.

The source added that al-Shamiya was a civilian and has not military or security ties with any party.

On June 23, Unknown gunmen killed two civilians in the city of Daraa.
