Iraqi airstrikes kill 7 ISIS militants in Saladin

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Iraqi forces announced on Saturday killing seven Islamic State (ISIS) militants, including a leader, during airstrikes on hideouts of the group in eastern Saladin Governorate in northern Iraq.

The Iraqi Security Media Cell said in a statement on X platform (formerly Twitter) that the Iraqi Air Force carried out two airstrikes using F-16 aircraft on a tunnel and other hideouts of an ISIS detachment.

Moreover, the statement read that the airstrikes resulted in the destruction of the hideouts and the killing of seven ISIS militants, including “a dangerous leader,” according to preliminary information.

On June 20, the Iraqi forces announced the destruction of ISIS hideouts in two airstrikes in Kirkuk.
