CJTFOIR denies airstrike on eastern Syria
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTFOIR) denied on Saturday any attacks on eastern Syria.
The CJTFOIR said on its official X Platform that its forces did not carried out any airstrikes on eastern Syria.
This came following reports about airstrikes that targeted sites in Deir ez-Zor Governorate in eastern Syria and led to casualties among Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Friday night.
“Reports stating that U.S or coalition forces carried out an airstrike on the Iraq-Syria border on Friday are untrue,” the CJTFOIR said.
“No such operation took place,” it added.
