SDF arrests 2 ISIS members in Syria’s Hasakah

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said on Saturday they managed to arrest two members of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Hasakah Governorate, Northeast Syria. 

The Military Operations Teams (MOT), a component of the SDF, carried out a security operation in the town of Tel Hamis, northeastern countryside of Hasakah, and arrested two ISIS members.

The SDF Media Center said the two ISIS members were involved in killings, kidnappings and explosions in the area.

The two arrestees were Muhannad Mahjoub al-Madloul, aka Abu Sham, and Saad Mahjoub al-Madloul, aka Abu Saddam, the SDF added.

The SDF indicated that the operation resulted in the arrest of the two ISIS members and the seizure of Kalashnkova, bullet magazines, and mobile phones.

Early in June, the SDF’s MOT arrested an ISIS member named Abdullah Muhammad Ibrahim, aka Abu Hisham, in the village of Abu Jern of the town of Tel Hamis, northeast of Hasakah.
