IED blast kills 3 individuals in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – An IED, planted by unknown individuals, exploded on Tuesday in a village in Daraa Governorate, southern Syria, and resulted in the killing of three people.

, including a former leader of armed opposition faction,

A local source told North Press that the IED was planted in the outskirt of the village of Nasriyah, northwest of Daraa, and exploded in a car.

The explosion led to the killing of Muhammad Darwish, Ahmad al-Oudah, and Ahmad Munir, who were in the car.

The source added that the killed were former members in the armed opposition factions in Daraa, who had received reconciliation cards in July 2018 and had not joined any of the government military formations.

The source noted that as a result of the targeting, two children of one of the killed were injured because they were in the same targeted car. They were taken to the National Hospital in the city of Nawa, north of Daraa.
