SDF fighter survived assassination attempt in Deir ez-Zor

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A fighter of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) survived on Friday an assassination attempt in a town in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

The SDF Media Center said, two members of the Islamic State (ISIS) opened fire on a member of the SDF military relations in the town of al-Busayrah.

The SDF member “returned fire, killing one attacker and wounding the other,” the SDF added.

Following the attack, the SDF forces deployed to the area and found a machine gun and an explosive belt with the attacker, according to the SDF Media Center.
