Coalition visits hospital in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria  (North Press) – A delegation of the U.S.-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS visited on Thursday a hospital in the city of Hajin in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

Mishari al-Hazoom, director of Hajin General Hospital, told North Press that a delegation of the Coalition visited the hospital, and that the visit lasted for two hours.

Al-Hazoom added that hospital administration provided a brief on the hospital’s departments and services for patients, followed by a meeting with the hospital administrators.

He indicated that the delegation praised services provided by the hospital for the patients, affirming their support for the hospital and its developments in the coming days.

The delegation emphasized that the purpose of their visit was to support the health sector in Deir ez-Zor in general, and Hajin General Hospital in particular, as it is the largest and most affected area by the war.

Al-Hazoom emphasized that during the meeting, the delegation discussed the needs of the city’s residents in terms of healthcare services, reaffirming their support for the city in the coming days.

The U.S-led Global Coalition has been actively collaborating with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and local tribes to improve living conditions and counter activities of Iranian-backed militias seeking to destabilize the SDF-held areas.
