Oil pipeline blasts in Syria’s Homs  

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – A crude oil pipeline exploded on Sunday in Homs Governorate in central Syria while some individuals were trying to steal oil from it.  

The semi-official al-Watan newspaper reported that thieves were trying to pierce the pipeline near the town of al-Furqlus, east of Homs.  

As a result, the pipeline exploded and one of the thieves was killed and others were injured.  

Fire brigades managed to put out the fire at the end, according to the newspaper.

The newspaper pointed out that the thieves brought a generator and a tanker for the theft.
