Car bomb blasts in Syria’s capital, causing no casualties

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – An explosive device detonated on Saturday in car in Mezzeh neighborhood in the Syrian capital, Damascus, few kilometers away from the Iranian embassy, only material damage was reported.

State-run SANA news agency cited a source from the Damascus Police, saying that the IED explosion, planted by unknown individuals, took place in Mezzeh neighborhood in Damascus.

The source noted that only material damage was reported.

On April 1, Israeli airstrikes targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus, which is adjacent to the main embassy building. The strikes killed 7 IRGC members, including Zahedi, commander of the IRGC’s Quds Force in Syria and Lebanon.
