Landmine explosions result in casualties in central Syria

HAMA, Syria (North Press) – Three people were killed and three others were injured on Friday in three separate explosions in the countryside of Hama and Homs in central Syria.

A local source told North Press that three people were killed and another was injured due to a landmine explosion in the village of al-Zaghba in the countryside of Hama while they were working in an agricultural land.

In another incident, one person was injured in an explosion of a war remnant in Al-Baath Sports City in the city of Homs while he was grazing sheep. As a result, the shepherd was injured and was transferred to Al-Bassel Hospital, the source added.

The source also indicated that a child was injured in a landmine explosion while he was grazing sheep in the village of Rasm al-Kharab in Hama countryside.

The explosion resulted in the amputation of the child’s hand, according to the source.
