IDF hits military site of government forces in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Tuesday they targeted a military site of the Syrian government forces in the countryside of Daraa, southern Syria, in response to an attack on Golan Heights from Syria.

The IDF said their fighter jets hit infrastructure and a military post of the Syrian army in the town of Mahajjah in the north of Daraa.

On Monday the IDF announced that a rocket was fired from Syria, setting off sirens in the Yonatan area, central Golan Heights but did not cause any casualties.

Additionally, two incidents of artillery fire also occurred towards Syria, according to the IDF in a rare confirmation.

Since the start of the Israel-Hamas war, Israeli artillery and airstrikes have targeted posts, claiming to be linked to Iranian-backed militias, in Syria many times without officially claiming responsibility.
