DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – A landmine blasted on Wednesday in Deir ez-Zor countryside, eastern Syria, killing two people.
Sham FM Radio broadcasted that a landmine blasted in the village of Zaghir Shamiya, west of Deir ez-Zor.
The corpses were transported to the hospitals complex in the General Authority of al-Assad Hospital in the city of Deir ez-Zor.
Syria is considered the first globally in terms of the number of people killed in landmines, as the landmines planted by conflicting parties in Syria resulted in the killing of thousands of people.
On March 30, landmine blasts killed and injured about 20 people in Deir ez-Zor countryside.
