Israeli missile attack targets Syria’s Damascus

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Israeli missile attack targeted on Thursday a building in the town of Sayyidah Zaynab, south of the capital Damascus, believed to be used as a base for Iranian-backed militias.

Sources reported to North Press that the attack targeted a farm in Sayyidah Zaynab and resulted in casualties.

The state-run SANA news agency said in a statement that the Israeli attack resulted in the injury of two civilians and a material damage.

The attack was launched from the direction of Golan Hights, SANA reported citing a military source.

Since the beginning of the year, Israel has targeted the city of Damascus more than once, targeting leaders of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and high-ranking individuals associated with Iran in the region.
