Unknown gunmen kill 2 SDF security personnel in Syria’s Raqqa

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Unknown gunmen attacked on Wednesday an office of Raqqa Military Council, affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Raqqa Governorate, northern Syria.

SDF Media Center said in a statement that the gunmen targeted an administrative office of Raqqa Military Council in al-Dari’yeh neighborhood in the city of Raqqa, killing two security personnel and injuring a civilian.

“Our forces pursued the attackers. One suspected terrorist was injured and apprehended,” the statement added.

Initial investigations suggest that the Islamic State (ISIS) is likely behind the attack, according to the statement.
