Clashes between SNA armed groups leave casualties in Syria’s Afrin
AFRIN, Syria (North Press) – Two groups affiliated with the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), clashed on Friday in the countryside of Afrin, northwestern Syria, resulting in the killing of an individual and the injury of a woman.
According to a source in the Turkish-backed Military Police, the clashes occurred in the village of Turinde (Zarifa) in the south of Afrin city center between two armed groups of the Sultan Suleiman Shah Division (al-Amshat).
The incident led to the killing of Ayed al-Azzi and left a woman injured.
The individuals responsible for the incident were not held accountable due to their allegiance to the leader of the Division, Muhammad al-Jasim, also known as Abu Amshah, who has close ties with the Turkish intelligence.
The injured woman and the deceased person were both transferred to the Afrin Hospital, according to the source.
Areas under the control of SNA factions constantly witness security chaos and frequent clashes among armed groups, often resulting in casualties.
