Unknown individuals attack under-age boy in Syria’s Afrin
AFRIN, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, unknown individuals attacked an under-age boy in the city of Afrin, northwestern Syria, using knives, causing several stab wounds to him.
A source told North Press that Rudi Jaqul, 16, was stabbed multiple times by unknown individuals in the city of Afrin, resulting in severe leg injuries.
On Mar. 16, an incident occurred where a settler from the countryside of Idlib, northwestern Syria, killed boy Ahmed Mada and threw him into water well in the countryside of the town of Jindires southwestern Afrin. This incident sparked public outrage in the region, which has been under the control of Turkey and the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA) for the past six years.
These two incidents occurred just days before the first anniversary of the killing of five members of a Kurdish family in Jindires by militants belonging to the SNA’s Ahrar al-Sharqiya faction, on the eve of the Newroz holiday.
New details emerged in the case of the killing of Kurdish child Mada, indicating the possibility of involvement of other individuals in Mada’s murder.
Jaqul was immediately taken to Afrin Hospital after his neighbors provided first aid, while the SNA’s factions and authorities controlling the city have not taken any action to search for the perpetrators of the crime.
