Syria’s defense system intercepts Israeli airstrikes on Damascus

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Syrian Air Defense Forces intercepted on Wednesday Israeli airstrikes on the town of Sayyidah Zaynab in Rif Dimashq Governorate, southwest Syria, destroying a number of missiles.

Sham FM Radio broadcasted that Israeli airstrikes targeted the town of Hajira, south of Damascus, and a location at the beginning of the road to the town of Sayyidah Zaynab. 

Preliminary information indicated that there were causalities, and firefighting teams were sent after flames and smoke rose in the targeted area.

On Feb. 21, an Israeli airstrike targeted the town of Dimas in Rif Dimashq.
