Unknown people kill 2 soldiers of government forces in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Two soldiers of the Syrian government forces were killed on Monday by unknown gunmen in Daraa Governorate, southern Syria.

Local sources told North Press that unknown people riding a motorcycle opened fire on Walid al-Mesalma and Ahmad al-Mesalma in Sajna neighborhood in Daraa, killing both of them before arriving Daraa’s National Hospital. 

The soldiers were working within the group of Mustafa al-Mesalma, aka al-Kasem, and were charged with working in drug trading, according to the sources.

Al-Kasem group is affiliated with the Military Security Branch of the government forces.

On Jan. 21, five soldiers of the government forces were killed as a result of an IED planted by unidentified individuals near the town of Zimrin in the northern countryside of Daraa.
