Syrian government soldier killed in Qamishli

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian government forces found on Friday at midnight a soldier killed in a farmland in Qamishli countryside, northeast Syria.

A source from the Security Branch of the Syrian government told North Press that they find the corpse of Basam al-Azo thrown in a farmland.

Since about two months, areas controlled by the Syrian government forces, have been witnessing attacks against the soldiers of the government forces.

Al-Azo, hails from the village of al-Marza in the southern countryside of Qamishli, was shot in his chest and belly, the source added.

Investigations are still ongoing to determine the motives, according to the source.
