Government forces raid town in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian government forces raided on Thursday morning a town in the northern countryside of Daraa, southern Syria.

A local source told North Press the government forces raided the northern neighborhood in the town of Mahajjah to look for “wanted individuals”, simultaneously with artillery shelling by the forces stationed on the outskirts of the town.

The shelling resulted in the injury of a woman and her daughter.

The source added that local armed individuals fought back and targeted with RPGs a post of the intelligence services of the government forces.

According to the source, another convoy of the Eighth Brigade of the government forces is preparing to raid the neighborhood as escalation continues in the northern neighborhood of the town.
