Unidentified gunmen target SDF in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Unidentified gunmen targeted at dawn on Monday several headquarters and checkpoints of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
A military source from the SDF in Deir ez-Zor reported to North Press that unidentified gunmen attacked al-Raghib checkpoint near the village of Hawaij in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor with two RPG shells, causing material damage.
The source added that other attacks by unidentified gunmen with machine guns targeted SDF posts in the village of al-Jarzi in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, leading to clashes that forced the attackers to withdraw.
In a discrete incident, a vehicle affiliated with the SDF was attacked with machine guns in the town of al-Busayrah, on the outskirts of the town, resulting in the injury of an SDF fighter.
