Israeli airstrikes target vicinity of Damascus
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – an Israeli airstrike targeted on Monday the town of Sayyida Zainab, south of Damascus.
This area is known to have Iranian shrines and headquarters operated by armed militias and officials affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), according to North Press sources.
Local sources told North Press that the airstrike targeted farmland between the village of Aqraba and Sayyida Zainab town in Damascus countryside.
The Syrian air defense managed to intercept some of the missiles, according to Russian state-run Sputnik Agency.
There was no immediate comment from Syrian authorities and no statement on state media.
